Domata Peko, a fan favorite in his 10th year with the Cincinnati Bengals, gave fans a special opportunity to show off their best celebration dance for the chance to win two tickets to Sunday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The fun competition on Twitter lead to a mother of three, a born and raised Bengals fan, Cynithia Lawrence winning the coveted tickets after she posted a video of her 9-year-old son doing his best impression of a celebration dance.
Lawrence and her son, Joshua, didn’t expect to win, they just wanted to have fun. Their video shows Joshua doing the belly dance in front of a Christmas tree as “Watch me” by hip-hop artist Silentó plays in the background.
Perhaps the winning move was in the detail of Peko’s history. In the video, Joshua takes off a Michigan State Spartans jersey, where Peko attended, to then reveal a Bengals jersey underneath. He closes the dance by stomping on a yellow Terrible Towel and shouting “Go Bengals.”
Peko has always been and will always be a player for the fans.
